Remember i toldyou guys bout the Class 95 love boat thing? and as part of the gift, i also got this $500 voucher for Gabrielle diamonds? i knew things are not tha simple..
i finally had the time to go down to Wisma Atria today to redeem the voucher.
i called the person in charge and i got kinda confused by her..
our telephone conversation:
me: hello? is this ms m.lim?
her: yes how may i help?
me: oh yes hi, im calling regarding the class 95 valentines voucher?
her: OHHHH yes yes yes, the wedding band one right?? yes yes..
me: errrrr........ i was told to call before redeeming the voucher.??
her: yes yes, are you coming down today? are you with your boyfriend? its the $2000 mark thing right?
me: *total blur* err.. im with my boyfriend coming down right now, we're actually nearby already.
her: okok see you den!
so when Andy and i was on the way, i was telling him, later we must top up some amount of cash or something but i wasnt expecting how much it will be...
when we reach, she actually mistook us for another couple. but after clarifying that its our first time in that store, she started explaining.
We have to order a gabrielle cut diamond before redeeming the voucher and to top up the value. And the mininum amount is $2000.
WTF.
Nothing in the terms and condition says that we have to purchase something lah! i walked by that shop once and saw a $200 plus ring, and thought we can redeem something like that..
The lady told us that we have to top up another $1500.
double WTF.
here attached is the whole voucher. whoever is interested in this voucher, just let me know, i'll give it to you for free.

at point #3 it says :
This voucher must is valid for a total purchase of merchandise up to the amount indicated and must be fully utilized in one payment. Ununtilized amount will be forfeited.
So it actually means that there are diamonds less than $500, and if you choose to get a lower value diamond, the remaining value will be forfeited.
NOTHING in the stupid voucher says i HAVE TO purchase a mininum amt of $2000 worth of diamond.
BLOODY SHIT. feel so cheated.
